Read Across America Week

This week is Read Across America Week. The festivities go on all week long! Each grade level has their own paper gumball machine in the hallway. Every time a student reads an AR book and successfully passes an AR test, they can put a paper gumball into our gumball machine. The first time a student puts a gumball into the gumball machine, they will get a free "Fun-Size" candy bar. Each time after that, students get to add to the class total to see if they can get the most gumballs in the entire elementary! So far we have 2 books that we have read together as a class. Both books are by Chris Van Allsburg and are called, Jumanji and Zathura.
The following days will also have a special treat, prize, or event. Please see the following list to see what the daily festivities are:
Monday: Dr. Seuss Pencil
Tuesday: Read Across America Assembly with Mr. Gierach
Wednesday: Crazy Hat Day and Free Scoop of Ice Cream Coupon from Tomah Culvers
Friday: Free Bag of Popcorn
