Yesterday morning students were involved in a "class chat" with the opera singers from Opera for the Young. The opera performers put on a teaching lesson for elementary students in grades 3-5. At the end of the teaching lesson students had a chance to ask questions about the performers, opera, etc.
In the afternoon all elementary students enjoyed a performance by Opera for the Young. The opera this year was titled, "Rusalka, a Mermaid's Tale." Students enjoyed the hour long performance and had a second chance to ask questions at the end. It was enjoyed by all!
